We stayed at site 41 and the views were fantastic. The sites closest to the entrance roads (1,2,3 & 81,41, 43) have the best unobstructed views of the badlands, but they also feel the most exposed. We had some people and cars passing through from time to time but it didn't bother us too much, it was worth the trade off. We also attended a ranger lecture (about buffalo conservation) and a nighttime "tour of the constellations", both were great. One downside of Cedar Pass is there is only one bath house per loop so some sites are kind of far from the toilets. This wouldn't normally be a problem camping, but due to the nature of the prairie, there are no trees or large bushes here to squat behind if you need to. Keep this in mind when booking your site if you are a person who has to use the restroom a lot ;) I will say the restrooms were tidy and well maintained, though.

One of the most beautiful places I have ever camped!!! The price is 30 bucks a night non-electric, but the cost is so worth the views, peaceful area, and access to bathrooms and showers. We didn't get great weather but staying in such a wonderful place made up for it 10 fold. One suggestion; bring food with you or eat out before 5 pm. The lodge stopped serving food at about 5 pm and the only place we could find for food nearby was an old bar outside the park. Not bad food, but not a whole lot of selection.

Nice campground with clean amenities. Beautiful sunset at night and super close to the main badland area! Not many trees so it can get pretty hot during the day and there really isn't any privacy. Nice that they provide a covering over the picnic table for some shade!

This was our second stay here in the last 2 years. We've always had good weather when we came, but there is no cover for those in a tent...there are only a few trees in the campground to begin with, and there's absolutely no brush, not even on the fringes...so if one of those Great Plains thunderstorms rolls in, it would be trouble. The best sites for the wind are in the Butte Loop, which sits a little lower in the ground. However, the showers and dishwashing stations are all on the opposite end of the campground in the Agate Loop for whatever reason. The facilities are clean and well-kept. The pay showers aren't spectacular, but they are hot and clean. There are great views of the Badlands wall around the campground, and it's close to the Badlands Loop Road, visitor center, and Cedar Pass lodge/restaurant. There are no fire rings or fires allowed due to the risk of prairie fires. Each campsite has a picnic table with a wooden shelter over it to provide a little shade. All sites are pull-through, and very easy for RVs. Most sites are quite level. The campground is dead quiet at night, and you can hear coyotes and see the stars.

Very nice and well kept campgrounds. Cell service is good with 4G LTE. Bathrooms were clean and well kept. They had a pop machine as well in case one got thirsty. Only downfall was they had pay showers and I would have liked to see free shower access. The campsite though was pretty cheap which is always a bonus.
