Badlands was more than we anticipated. We stayed in the Cedar Pass Lodge cabins with our dog. It was a very updated, clean and comfortable cabin. Would highly recommend!

The cabin was very luxurious, clean, fresh towels and soap etc. The sky full of stars was amazing! Restaurant was good as well, we had the taco with fried indian bread with topping. Delicious!

This place has cabins for rent, a gift shop, and a restaurant. There are a limited number of basic cabins available, and newer ones with TVs, fridges and microwaves. The gift shop is friendly and features an excellent variety of Native American (mainly Lakota) handiwork. They also have the usual T-shirts and souvenirs. The gift shop employs mostly locals, including those from area tribes. The restaurant is sit down service and serves hot sandwiches, and features a decent salad bar. They also serve some local brews. Service is quick and friendly and the staff comes from all around the world.

This place is an absolute gem. The cabins had been redone, and were like a high end type room. Each had a porch with a few Adirondack chairs, a picnic table on the grass. We were in a duplex cabin, so the folks next door were quite close on the porch, but we live in the city and being around people wasn't an issue for us. They give you a bag of ice for free. We took ours upon checkout so we could put it in our cooler for the day trip. They have a great store where you can buy items, including some made by Native Americans. There is a dining room, but we were unable to eat there during our stay due time timing. There is really not a lot of choices to eat in Interior, SD, so we ended up driving to Wall to eat. It is a solid 30 min or more drive depending on how long it takes to get out of the park and back in. We definitely plan to stay here again.

Restaurant was pretty good and there was a fun gift shop.

Good facilities, interesting wares for sale. Not a necessity to stop here, but worth it if you need a bathroom break, quick bite, or want to browse an eclectic gift shop!
